I
have been working in Singapore as a professional photographer since 1997.
My passion and specialty is child photography.
My experience as a professional photographer dates back to 1986 when I had
the opportunity to work as a photography assistant for Leslie Cashen, an
exceptional child photographer working in the Washington DC area.
My work with Leslie helped me develop an individual style that I’ve
honed over the years. Having three children of my own has greatly
contributed to my understanding of my young clients. In fact, my twin boys
grace my homepage!
To capture a child’s best in the most natural way is a truly magical
experience. Whether at the studio or on location, my aim is to make each
photo shoot session a fun-filled experience for each child.
When booking an appointment for a photo session, do consider your
child’s “best” time of day. Photo sessions generally run an hour.
However, do keep in mind that I will never rush a shoot in order for the
session to develop at each child’s individual pace.
In accordance to your preferences, I can shoot both color and black and
white film in one photo session. Using 36 exposure rolls gives me plenty
of opportunities to capture as many different photo combinations as
possible – from individual child to sibling shots, to children playing
with different props and toys, to family portraits.
Please feel free to bring as many costume and clothing changes, favorite
toys, blankets, and those favorite things that are special to your child
to the photo shoot.
For outdoor sessions, it is best to plan for either an early morning or
late afternoon shoot since the middle of the day is generally too hot in
Singapore. Throughout the years, I’ve noticed that my young clients
aren’t really at their best when they’re feeling hot and sticky!
My per roll all inclusive package includes:
* A proof book of 4x6 pictures with the frame number coded on the back for
easy reference
* A voucher for a free 8x10 enlargement
* The full set of negatives for you to keep and reproduce at your
convenience!
I’m proud to say that I’m the only professional photographer working
in Singapore today that includes giving you the whole set of negatives as
part of my photo package. I will also be happy to recommend a professional
photo technician for your re-prints and a talented craftsman who can turn
your photos into miniature albums as well as holiday and greeting cards.
